Day 27 of #aprilget2knowavintagedealer with @wishvintage: future trends! Oooh I have been waiting for this one! Over the past couple of years, high end fashion has been taking inspiration from good old vintage, & this became apparent in S/S & A/W catwalks this year. Chanel's 'space' had a 60s vibe with the monochrome/minis/knee boots. Cavalli was like looking at Woodstock with flares/suede/tasels. Michael Kors looked to prints with flowers/colour/fluid lines. Basically, the 60s and 70s are coming back baby! Soon, it will trickle into those cheap high street stores & you will pay more for a cheap knock off than an original vintage piece. When shopping for vintage, look for original pieces from these decades to look on-trend but original. Maybe hint at the trend with a flower power scarf, look for a good pair of round toe knee boots, or don some earthy tones. Find your own vibe and be the envy of every fashionista as yours will be original!
