Jostein Gaarder in Sophie's World : So now you must choose... Are you a child who has not yet become world-weary? Or are you a philosopher who will vow never to become so? To children, the world and everything in it is new, something that gives rise to astonishment. It is not like that for adults. Most adults accept the world as a matter of course. This is precisely where philosophers are a notable exception. A philosopher never gets quite used to the world. To him or her, the world continues to seem a bit unreasonable - bewildering, even enigmatic. Philosophers and small children thus have an important faculty in common. The only thing we require to be good philosophers is the faculty of wonder

Complètement in love de Byron Bay 😻 En arrivant on pensait rester un ou deux jours, mais on s'y sent tellement bien qu'on prolonge... 🌴 Pour le moment c'est ma station balnéaire préférée du pays avec Jervis Bay ✨

145 off My-215 ✔ The trifecta complete. The last and final hike of our 10 day road trip. Rewarded with a premium gift from our mother nature. 22km done and dusted with all 10 toes still intact. The struggle we endured for an experience of a life time. That spine tingling rush we strive for. The moment which literally took my breath away. Gasping for air through high altitude, struggling step by step, striding against summit winds, contouring terrain and the ultra light sun rays reflecting from the snow dunes blurring our distant vision. Not to mention the mental struggle dealing with the voices in our heads of self doubt and self imposed barriers. Fear of the unknown and man enough to say "I was some what scared" if we'd make it or not. You may ask why? Why would anyone put themselves through such affliction? The answer to this question is simple. Euphoria. My number one motive when travelling is to chase the natural high of Euphoria. Being present with nature and oneself is the best feeling in the world. Travelling the world magnifies and illuminates it on all different levels especially when you need to work for it mentally and physically to reach its peak (no pun-intented). It coincides with a sence of achievement and accomplishment. Once you feel its glory you become addicted, it's an extension of your soul. Only through adversities and nature you'll find it. The best thing about it.... Doesn't cost a damn penny! Some people may call it an Adrenaline Junkie or Thrill Seeker. I call it Euphoric Enlightenment. #travelblogger #insearchofmy215 @dan.wilcockson 📸
