This morning a group of people placed these flags in the shape of USA to remember people who gave their lives to protect others. For many years it been military, this year they remembered the civilians who were police, corrections, sheriffs, EMTs, firefighters, veterans, and federal agents. These flags will be collected and then placed on graves across the country. I normally spend my time over at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery and play my trumpet for the heroes buried and remembered there. I may get a chance to go over there. But for tonight, I played the National Anthem for these people and their families. These flags are going everywhere. I blessed them with some music. I hope that brings comfort to someone somewhere. "Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave." It's not a question people. Yes it does. And will. Want to know what gets my heart every time I play the Anthem? That right there. We may get hurt, but we are not out.
