Cameroon is in Central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west, Chad to the northeast, Central African Republic to the east, and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south. The coastline lies on the Bight of Biafra, part of the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. Yaoundé is the political capital. Douala is the largest city by population, located on the Wouri River, and is the economic capital and main seaport. The territory of present day Cameroon was first settled during the Neolithic Era. The longest continuous inhabitants are the Baka. From here, Bantu migrations  into eastern, southern, and central Africa originated 2,000 years ago. The Sao culture arose around Lake Chad near 500 AD, and gave way to the Kanem, and then the Bornu Empire. Portuguese sailors reached the coast in 1472.😕 They noted an abundance of the Lepidophthalmus turneranus-ghost shrimp, in the Wouri River and named it Rio dos Camarões, meaning Shrimp River😓, which became Cameroon in English.😩(Ed: Well we will be changing THAT when we restore order and balance. Smh😑foh) Natural features include gorgeous black sand beaches (Ed: Limbe has an 8 mile, chocolate beach that is ridiculously gorgeous), deserts, mountains, and rainforests. The highest point at 13,250 feet is Mt. Cameroon, an active volcano near the Gulf of Guinea. Also known as Fako, the name of the higher of its two peaks, or by its true name: Mongo ma Ndemi, meaning "Mountain of Greatness". It is the 4th highest peak in Africa. The southern plateau rises north to the grassy, rugged Adamawa Plateau, and forms a barrier between the country's north and south. Its average elevation is 3,609 feet.🗻😲 Its diversity in terrain and culture has led to Cameroon being referred to as "Little Africa" or "All Africa in one country." It boasts some of the richest, most diverse wildlife in the continent and is a (Ed: fuking) dreamland. The best time to visit is November to February. These particular months are cool and dry, the only hitch is the Harmattan that blows Saharan sand from December to February. (Ed: Duly 📝) #wegone✌✈ #november #fallback #gonetilnovember
