*Testimony Alert* I live with my parents, both grandmothers, my siblings, my pup, and an adopted turtle. Our house barely has room for us all, and yet we are blessed to have a home that can shelter us all considering the generations before who had just enough and nothing more. Nothing particularly special happened today except that I was thinking about where I stand along my family line. I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 13 and my testimony is built on the belief that families can be bound together forever, never to forget. That has always made sense to me. Today I realized that one day I will be someone's ancestor. I hope he or she will look back and see themselves in the gospel just like I learned to see myself in the cultural and ethnic communities of my ancestors. I don't look Black, and yet that is what I've always considered myself to be. I don't speak Spanish, and yet that is part of who I am. I know little of my Scots-Irish family, and yet my daughter has RED hair lol. Along the way someone in my family tree made a decision that added all of those cultures which have been a blessing. Me, I have added the gospel. (And maybe hopefully wealth. We'll have to wait and see.) Why a picture of ice cream? Why not?
