Ir /earr/ is the verb "go". Depending on who is speaking this is how you use it.
I go/am going - Yo voy
You go - Tu vas
He goes - Èl va
She goes - Ella va
It goes - Usted va
We go - Nosotros vamos
You (plural) go - Vosotros vais
They go - Ellos/ellas/ustedes van
If you are thinking how did I go from "Ir" to words that start with "V", you're not alone. I thought it was strange the first time I saw it too!
For example: Ella va a la hotel - "She is going to the hotel"
Ustedes queren ir a España. - "They want to go to Spain." Some common phrases with the verb ir include: 👉Vamonos - "Let's go"
Think of your Dora the Explorer days "Come on Vamonos, everybody let's go"🎶 👉Vamos a ver - "Let's see.." This can be used by itself if you ask someone a question and they say "Let's see what happens" or it can be used in a sentence like "vamos a ver una pelicula" which means "Let's see a movie". 👉 This is also a very special verb because you use "Ir" to speak in future tense. For example, "yo voy comer sushi manaña" which means "I will eat sushi tomorrow". Ir lets you speak about things you are going to do in the future.
