Add this exercise into your leg sessions as a great way of increasing glute activation during a stiff leg deadlift. Works great as part of an extended warm up with a nice light weight, or as part of your power work to force your hips to extend under the elastic resistance. Use some form of stretchy resistance band around your waist anchored securely behind you. Move forward to a point where the resistance is starting to pull you back, but not quite. From here perform your stiff leg deadlift as normal and you will immediately notice the extra glute required! No Monday blues here today which is unusual! Husband suggested due to pouring ran I should reschedule my run - last time it rained and I didn't want to go out he called me a pussy! Not wishing to fall for his reverse Jedi mind tricks I headed out as as the forecast doesn't show any breaks in the this delightful weather today. Do you know what - it felt great - loved feeling the rain on my face (even though I now have rat tails for hair) and my favourite river route was flooding so I took great delight in running though every puddle today and my trainers and socks are soaking. Miles done ✅ and now in dry clothes, with coffee and back at my laptop. Seriously I'm over this rain 😫 . 4 soggy recovery miles. After yesterday's rain fest long run I was tempted to skip this session but I didn't... It's on my training plan for a reason! . The plan said '4 recovery miles focusing on light feet, short stride & form'... I always find when I focus on form I naturally run faster so I don't know if I did this too quick for a recovery run? Felt comfortable & legs felt surprisingly ok after Saturdays hard-ish parkrun & yesterday's LSR. Haven't run on three consecutive days for quite a while. . Bom diaaaaaaaaa semana de volta à rotina!!! Segundona, perdi a hora 🙄que tinha combinado com os amigos, mas fui!! Consegui pegar umas voltas no parque com eles 🌪🌪🌪 que toparam "andar" comigo, pra fazer regenerativo! . Fui e voltei correndo de casa, e quando cheguei, empolgada, ainda nadei 🏊🏻‍♀️ 💦mais 1km em 20min pra regenerar bem!! 😜🤔(já estava de roupa por baixo 😉, se fosse subir e descer, não rolava mesmo!!) . Day 1 of strength training. I've been on that cardio tip for way too long. Thing is, cardio will help you lose weight & your shape goes with that. I honestly prefer cross training as you get the best of both worlds. A great physique & cardiovascular fitness. Follow me as once again I attempt to transform my body to a leaner appearance.
