While two-and-a-half million other people across the globe were at the Women's March, I was at the beach. And yeah, that felt weird to me. But it also became an exercise in narrowing down—from the millions of things to put my fire behind during this tumultuous time and in this strange political landscape—what I truly care about: defending public lands and wild places, and supporting the people who are bettering the outdoor community. Big ups to @orukayak (and my hype man Andy Cochrane) for letting me write about this instead of kayaking-which is also awesome 👏🏻 .
