Ok.. I may be obsessed with beets lately I know.. but hear me out. Did you know that certain foods can actually help those of you who suffer from PMS pains? It's true. What we eat can effect our health ten fold, including a women's cycle. This juice I made has lots of foods to help combat PMS. It has beets, kale, celery, cucumber, cilantro, green Apple, ginger, and fresh lime juice.
Beets help oxygenate the blood flow, keep blood sugar stable, and help maintain liver function. Kale is one of the best sources of vitamin K out there. This fat soluble vitamin is what helps us with blood clotting. (Remember that fat soluble means you need fat to help it absorb properly. I drink my coffee with coconut oil with my juice) Kale also has vitamin C (no lies!) another far soluble vitamin which is a key vitamin in wound repair. So kale alone is a champion for us women when Aunt Flo comes to town! That amazing little plant cilantro is loaded with antioxidants, is a natural anti-inflammatory and has lots of iron. Celery and cucumber are water based foods and can help us.. move things along. Green apples are a low calorie food that can also help with liver function, boost metabolism, and they also have a ton of vitamin K, which remember helps us with clotting. Ginger is another super food for helping with inflammation in the body. The lime gives us not only a fresh taste to the juice, but also gives a dose of vitamin C, antioxidants, and flavonoids. It's a super tasty refreshing juice that gives PMS a kick in the 🍑😆I juiced all this in my @breville cold pressed juicer and poured it in a air tight locking bottle so I can enjoy it over the next couple days. If you all decide to make this, be sure to tag me! ✨🦄✨ #thewellnessunicorn #bewell #livewell
