In my #Insanity #Asylum workout today @shauntfitness kept saying: "You gotta go down to go up." At first, I was like... okay, get low | squat low | I gotchu Shaun T. But then I started thinking (I do my best thinking when I workout) I've had a lot of 'DOWNS' in my life. .
•I've been severely overweight & miserable. •I've faced bankruptcy •I've faced foreclosure on my house •I battled alcoholism •I've suffered severe depression & anxiety to the point I wouldn't leave my house •And I could go on & on
My point is, sometimes we have to go DOWN to appreciate the UP's in life. My dad always told me that God would never put me through anything I wasn't strong enough to handle. Although at the times I was at my lowest and not sure how I would make it through, I can now look back on those moments of my life and realize they were somehow meant to help me be stronger | to possibly help others who may be going through the same struggles | and maybe shed light that there is a bright light at the end of dark tunnels.
Have faith. Trust the process. And as Shaun T says... "You gotta go down to go up." 💕
