I have noticed a bunch of new followers lately so I thought today would be a great day to participate in #fridayintroductions I'm Karen - wife, mom of twins, personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist, and CPA. I am passionate about helping women become the best version of themselves through a combination of exercise and nutrition. Five Fun Facts: 1. My favorite drinks are coffee, water, beer, and wine! 2. I was a CPA for 11 years before deciding to pursue my true passion of helping others realize the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. 3. I hate olives! I think they are gross. 4. I met my husband when I was 17 years old and have known him for over half of my life! 5. I am a warm weather, beach-loving girl. Golden milk.. a cup of warm milk mixed with tumeric powder and honey. Curcumin, the active ingredient in the bright yellow spice, has been known for its health benefits in boosting vitality, decrease inflammation, aid in digestion , fight infections and even studied to fight cancer cells. I make this soothing milk with organic whole milk ( if you can do raw it has better immunity support) fresh ground organic tumeric , local honey and a pinch of cinnamon powder or I use one swirled toothpick of YL cinnamon bark essential oil. 🍃 Cinnamon as well can fight infections , inflammation, viruses, improve brain function and has been known to fight cancer cells. 🍃 This healthy combo tastes amazing and has become a night time staple in our home. Even my kids love it ( if I lesson the tumeric 😉) One cup of organic whole milk or milk alternative 1/4 TSP of tumeric powder ( add more for added benifits) 2 tsp of local honey Bring to a boil and your ingredients while whisking. Remove from heat. Pour in a tea cup. Take a toothpick and insert into your oil. Swirl around the toothpick in your tea.🌿 Enjoy! 🌿🌿🌿
