I used to hate Sundays. They meant I had to go back to work 'tomorrow'. They meant I couldn't 'do anything tonight'. If I didn't have the kids that weekend they meant I'd maybe stay in and cook dinner if I wasn't too hung over from the night before. I worked a job I hated going to everyday; lived a life that was, quite literally, killing me; and had no tools except wine. I'd love to say when I quit my job and opened my studio all of that changed but it took a few more years.
That being said, I love Sundays now. I set my alarm for 8:30 so I don't sleep the day away (early birds, don't judge). I can do any number of things because I now realize that 'doing something' doesn't mean I have to get fall down drunk. I love turning my tiny, fake fireplace and diffuser on and flipping open my laptop. And even better yet, I don't have to 'work' on Mondays anymore. I do, but I don't go anywhere. Monday looks much like a Sunday. #whatlifehaveibeengiven
I'm spending the afternoon today at my studio with some of my favorite #mombosses where we'll be eating chocolate, talking about oils and jewelry shopping. All are welcome. We'll be there from 3-5. You should come see me.
