What a Monday y'all! Had a super busy 🐝 day at work and was terrified of barbell class today because we're focusing on toughness this week through volume and that always means some 😖🤕 lifting sets. ▫️ "Warmed up" with 3 sets of 4 push press at 80% of 1 rep max (40kg/88lb) and then moved on to 6 sets of 2 split jerks at 95% (52kg/114lb). That's 12 reps at only 7 pounds less than the heaviest jerk I've ever done 🙈. Only got to 3 attempts and made 1 of them (coincidentally the only one I videoed, so obvi had to post it 👆🏻). I guess that's a 2 rep max PR 🤔 Srsly couldn't feel my arms by the third set. Can't win em all -- at least I tried 🤷🏻‍♀️ #thisweeksmotto

Happy one year of #bbg to me!!! A year ago I couldn't do 5 burpees without a rest, I couldn't run more than a kilometer without dying, and I couldn't do more than one or two push-ups. Choosing to do the bbg program truly changed my life, and I'm so proud of how far I've come in just a year 💪 now I can do all those things AND MORE! Weight is just a number and ive learned that really, it means nothing in terms of your physical appearance. Thank you @kayla_itsines for helping me more than you could ever know #kaylaversary

Happy Monday!! How's everyone doing? Completed BBG Week 16 Arms ✅ early this morning! 💪 I love when I get my workout done first thing in the morning! It just sets the tone to have a very productive day! 👊 Decided to mix it up a bit today! I was going to do Legs but then decided I don't wanoo! 😜 My knee was misbehaving a bit yesterday so I'm going to give it a little break! I love doing Arms anyway though so it's all good! 👌

But one thing I have learned over this weekend is no matter what your day brings, always re-evaluate before going to bed. Tonight I lie in my bed reliving the good moments of today rather than dwelling on the bad. End every day on a good note, you will thank me in the morning 😇

Today's #MommyStyleMonday is all about "me time". As a working mom I don't get much "me time" but I would consider exercise that time for me. Four Months ago I ran my first marathon and it was the biggest athletic feat I have accomplished. It was tons of hard work, strict training schedules, and involved pushing myself a little further than I thought I could go, every day. Out for my run today I was thinking back on those months of training and I realized, I was happier, did better in schoolwork, and loved having a goal to strive towards. Funny thing about coaching...
