No that's not water in my glass it's white whisky. To be more precise it's clear whisky. From the guys that gave us Centennial (which I reviewed a couple weeks back) comes White Owl, a clear whisky. It's triple charcoal filtered and then aged in oak barrels. It claims to have the same flavour and kick as true whisky but truthfully, it just doesn't. Admittedly, White Owl is very different from any other spirit I've ever tried and is unique. It is pleasantly smooth but I find it's just lacking the characteristics that are found in a common, more traditional Canadian rye whisky, and that's disappointing to me.
