The French Press, it's one of the easiest, least time-consuming ways to make a great cup of coffee & if needed for several people at once. The two aspects that spoil French press coffee: water temperature — boiling water that scorches the grounds, or tepid water that doesn't extract fully — & badly ground coffee with too much fine grit that makes the pressed coffee muddy & bitter.
Method for 3-Cup French Press:
•Ground Coffee- 17 grams (2-3 tbsp)
•Water - 275 mL, plus additional for pre-heating.
Remember to preheat your plunger before use. Fill your French press about one-quarter full with hot water & press the plunger all the way down. Safely give it a Swirl for about 10 seconds, then pull the plunger up & remove the lid. Discard the rinse water & grind your fresh coffee, put your dose in, evenly pour 1/2 your hot water in & allow to Bloom, after 30 seconds gently break crust by gently stirring, pour the rest of you water in, after about 4 mins resting, gently plunge and pour coffee & serve your coffee promptly!
