The exhibition Cristóbal Balenciaga launches the spanish season at the Palais Galliera. At the Bourdelle Museum, "L'Oeuvre au Noir", working in black refers both to "The Abyss", the novel by Marguerite Yourcenar and the favourite color of the couturier of which he had a complete mastery of all the subtleties and on which the exhibition focuses. Toiles, plaster casts, the interplay of volumes, dimensions and light, sculptural forms, draped black, black and white, a predilection for apparent simplicity of line, everything here is a celebration of the Balenciaga Fashion House which was founded in 1917 and will be a hundred years old this year. The exhibition ends on 18 july. Picture taken with a Leica M6 camera. #balenciaga #bourdelle #palaisgalliera #bourdellemuseum #yourcenar #cristobalbalenciaga #portzamparc #marianofortuny #museodeltraje #joseortizechague #leicam6 #joseortizfotografia #harpersbazaar #demnagvasalia #voguemagazine #paris #loeuvreaunoir #annesaintmarie #oliviersaillard #ellemagazine #ilfordfilm #negatifplus #vikartstudio #leica

Model Anne Saint Marie in a Traina-Norell dress, photo by Irving Penn on the cover of Vogue March 1st 1958, in my collection. 💙🌼🍀🌺💙 'Seduction… in the shape of a flowered bubble, shaping Traina-Norell´s ravishing floor-length sheath, a vampish line with the added dazzle of wide-eyed Poiret flowers floated on bright blue Staron silk. Dress at Bonwit Teller; Dayton´s; Neiman-Marcus; I. Magnin. Part of the rocketing effect here: firecracker puff of hair, fire-crackling report of colour in the lips and nails_Jazz lipstick and nail polish, by Helena Rubinstein. Flexible diamond bracelets, diamond earrings, all from S. G. Barnett.' @voguemagazine @helenarubinstein_international #vogue #usvogue #vintagevogue #americanvogue #vogueus #voguecover #voguemagazine #annesaintmarie #irvingpenn #penn #trainanorell #fashion #fashionhistory #fashionmagazine #fashionphotography #fashionphotographer #mode #moda #retro #vintage #vintagephoto #vintagestyle #vintagemodel #vintagemagazine #magazinecollection #beauty #chic #50sfashion #normannorell
