Asanas challenge us because they ask us to find ease and breath in oftentimes uncomfortable positions. This photo represents two of my biggest challenges on the mat - backbending and quad lengthening. How often do we shy away from the postures (off the mat translation: situations in life) that are difficult? Can we learn to stay, breath, endure and possibly even enjoy knowing that all things are temporary? Questions to ponder.
