I was in the kitchen from 4pm today helping mom to prepare for iftar. Ni baru la boleh duduk but my feet and my back are killing me. Luckily my trusted Deep Relief memang sentiasa ada in my handbag. LONG POST WARNING ⚠️😏 So this is awkward.. 😳 I'm really not a big workout selfie gal ( #toovulnerable ) but I'm excited and proud of the transformations I've seen over the past few months and had to share! ... I joined Golds gym in January and did my own sporadic, chaotic workouts a few times a week up until March. It was nice, but I saw little progress in my physique. Then a friend told me about these "4 free Studio classes" I should try, so I did (he had me at FREE 😏) I mean what was there to lose, right? .... So I signed up and took my first studio class, and yall... one GoldsFIT class (think crossfit) and I was hooked. Straight up lovin' every minute of it. I have always enjoyed athletic activities (16 years of dance and 4 years of volleyball for starters).. but weight lifting, running, rowing, kipping, snatches, cleans, hand stands, wall balls and slam balls were all new to me. But it was exactly what I've been looking for and never knew it. ... It's been a little less than a month of taking 2-3 FIT classes a week and I've seen more overall body-mind-spirit results than I have in the past 6 years. I feel incredible, finally have fitness goals, and have met so many incredible people who have encouraged and supported me along the way. You're talking to the queen of life-long chicken arms...I didn't even know my arms could show muscles 💪🏾 ... So my encouragement to you is to find your "flow" (as my hubby likes to call it): that activity that nourishes your body, your mind, and your spirit. And once you've found your flow, do it with gusto! ... There are so many exercise styles out there and I'm NOT an advocate for one-size-fits-all when it comes to health and wellness. But there is something out there for each of us -- our own unique combination of diet, supplement, and exercise that helps to reveal the best holistic picture of ourselves. Mine happens to be functional/crossfit training, a bit of yoga, home-cooked protein and fiber meals, and a whole lot of essential oils and supplements. Find your flow and stick with it!
