Yay! The summer is coming! It seems that even the London sky is so happy about it that instead of the usual, neverending rain it gave us a wonderful hot and sunny day. โ˜€ ๐ŸŒก So, what are your plans for the summer? I will be chillin' on a beautiful, tropical island. Can you guess which one? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Welcome to Paradise ๐Ÿ˜ We travelled around 16 hours to get to this place, all the way from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, through the Cambodian border, to Sihanoukville in multiple buses and then on a ferry to the island. But it was totally worth it!

Travel memories from... Koh Rong, a small island in the south of Cambodia. We spent a few days in those bungalows on the beach. Backpackers' paradise! ๐Ÿ˜ What is your favourite island?

When you go to Venice, one of the must see places are the small islands next to it. I particularly loved Burano: it is a small residential island close to Venice and it's famous because of its colourful houses. I mean, literally every house is a different colour and it looks amazing. What is the most colourful place that you have been to?

Here is why #Venice should be your next destination: 1. It will make you feel inspired with its canals and its bridges. 2. You will loose yourself in the maze of its little streets and discover tiny bars where you will drink the strongest espresso you ever tasted. 3. You will have fun riding the vaporetto. 4. You will have a true Italian gelato sitting on the side of the Grand Canal. 5. You will fall in love with this magical city and promise yourself to come back one day. ๐Ÿ˜

โ“ DID YOU KNOW... that #Venice is built on 177 canals which are connected by 409 bridges? This is a huge number, given that the city is small enough to walk everywhere on foot! The canals and the bridges are what makes Venice such a unique and charming city. Definitely one of the best places I have been to so far โค

SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE! I've got a little gift for you, my fellow travellers! ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ‰ I brought some #postcards ๐Ÿ“ฌ with me from my last trip to #Venice and I would loooove to send them to you guys. So if you like receiving or collecting postcards, then make sure to participate in the game! All you have to do is this: 1. Like this picture 2. Follow my account (if you haven't already) 3. Tag a friend with whom you would like to travel to Venice and say why in the comments below! I'll choose 3 people totally randomly - on Wednesday May 3rd at 10PM London time - to send the postcards to.

๐Ÿ”นVENICE TIPS๐Ÿ”น In case you were ever wondering how much does a #gondola ride cost, let me tell you: around 80 euro ๐Ÿ’ถ! It's an awful lot of money for a backpacker, which is why I didn't do it. Instead, I really loved riding on the #vaporetto - the typical venetian public transport which is basically a boat-bus. You can stand on the deck and have an amazing view on the city.

What was your last travel destination? ๐Ÿ›ซ Mine was #Venice ! I had been dreaming about it for a while before I had a chance to go and it did not disappoint me: Venice is one of the most beautiful cities that I have visited so far. And it has even more meaning to me as wandering around its tiny streets gave me plenty of time and space to reflect... Which is why I disappeared from all of my social media for a while. During that time off, I took some big decisions which I am going to share with you soon!
